CoachIQ Athlete & Parent Terms

Effective date: September 14, 2026 Version: 2.0

The short version

- Your coach or training facility ("your Coach") uses CoachIQ software to run their business. CoachIQ built the software. Your Coach is who you are buying from. - Your Coach sets prices, schedules, cancellation rules, and refund policies. Questions about a session or a charge go to your Coach first. - Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. CoachIQ does not store your full card number. - Your Coach controls the information in their account about you. CoachIQ handles it on their behalf and protects it as described in our Privacy Policy. - If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must set up and manage your account. Children under 13 may not use the Platform directly.

1. Who these Terms are between

These Athlete & Parent Terms ("Terms") are between you and AthleticOutlook, Inc., doing business as CoachIQ ("CoachIQ," "we"), and cover your use of the athlete portal, booking pages, checkout, messaging, and mobile apps that CoachIQ provides to your Coach (the "Platform"). They do not replace any agreement between you and your Coach. Your Coach is not CoachIQ's employee or agent.

2. Who can use the Platform

2.1 You must be 18 or older to create an account. If the athlete is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must create and control the account and accepts these Terms on the athlete's behalf. 2.2 No one under 13 may create an account or use the Platform directly. Profiles for athletes under 18 must be created by the coach or by a parent or guardian, not by the athlete. If you are a parent or guardian, you agree not to let a child under 13 log in, message, or submit information through the Platform directly; you do those things on the child's behalf from your own account. The coach is responsible for obtaining any parental consent the law requires. CoachIQ handles that information on the coach's behalf and does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account or used the Platform directly, email privacy@coachiq.io and we will remove it.

3. Your relationship with your Coach

3.1 Your Coach is the seller of coaching sessions, programs, memberships, and anything else you buy through the Platform. Your Coach is responsible for delivering them, for their quality and safety, and for the policies that apply to them. 3.2 Before you buy, review your Coach's cancellation, rescheduling, expiry, and refund terms. They are set by your Coach and shown at checkout or on their site. CoachIQ does not set them and cannot override them. 3.3 CoachIQ is not responsible for injuries, disputes, losses, or damage arising from your participation in coaching or your relationship with your Coach. Sports carry risk. Any waiver or release your Coach asks you to sign is between you and your Coach.

4. Payments

4.1 Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor under its terms. You authorize the charges you make and, for memberships or recurring packages, the recurring charges your Coach describes at checkout until you or your Coach cancel them. 4.2 Refunds are decided by your Coach under their policy. If your Coach approves a refund, it is returned to your original payment method. Timing depends on your bank and the payment processor. 4.3 If you believe a charge is wrong, contact your Coach first. If you cannot resolve it, email support@coachiq.io and we will help connect you. Filing a chargeback without first contacting your Coach may result in your Coach ending your access.

5. Messages

Your Coach may send you booking confirmations, reminders, schedule changes, and other messages by email, SMS, or push notification through the Platform. Marketing messages require your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts from that sender. Message and data rates may apply. Messages are sent by your Coach, not by CoachIQ.

6. Your account and conduct

6.1 Keep your login confidential and tell your Coach or us if you think someone else is using it. 6.2 You will not use the Platform to harass anyone, post unlawful or offensive content, upload malware, scrape data, impersonate anyone, or interfere with the Platform. We and your Coach may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. 6.3 Content you upload (for example, videos or notes for your Coach) stays yours. You give CoachIQ a license to host and display it so the Platform works for you and your Coach, and you give your Coach access to it as part of their service to you.

7. Your information

Your Coach controls the personal information in their account about you and decides how it is used within their business. CoachIQ handles it on your Coach's behalf under our agreement with them and protects it as described in our Privacy Policy at coachiq.io/privacy. To access, correct, or delete your information, ask your Coach. If you need help reaching them, email privacy@coachiq.io. We do not sell your personal information.

8. Mobile apps

If you use a CoachIQ or Coach-branded app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, those stores' terms also apply. The app is licensed, not sold, to you for personal use on devices you own or control. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or for these Terms.

9. Disclaimers and limits

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, COACHIQ DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES AND IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE PLATFORM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE PLATFORM FEES COACHIQ EARNED ON YOUR TRANSACTIONS IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

10. Disputes

Disputes with your Coach are between you and your Coach. Disputes with CoachIQ about the Platform will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules and its Consumer Arbitration Minimum Standards, after a 60-day informal resolution period beginning when you email legal@coachiq.io. Either of us may instead use small claims court. Class actions and jury trials are waived to the extent the law allows. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing legal@coachiq.io. California law governs.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will post the new version with a new effective date at least 30 days before it takes effect; we may also notify you in the Platform or by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the change. AthleticOutlook, Inc. (CoachIQ), 2664 Flower Fields Way, Carlsbad, CA 92010. support@coachiq.io. legal@coachiq.io.
